Join Wen for a 90-min slow and nourishing flow-to-yin practice embracing the season of spring. As the stillness of winter fades, the power of springtime surges through nature - and through us. Spring embodies life in its fullest expression, awakening the parts of us that have been dormant through the colder months. Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion — so does the energy within us.
This practice invites you to embody the essence of spring, a season aligned with the Wood element and the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - guiding us towards introspection and restfulness. We will begin with some gentle, Qigong-inspired flow that incorporates breathwork and self-tapping/massage techniques, to awaken and circulate energy (prana) throughout the body. The practice will then transition into stillness with longer-held yin poses supported by props, targeting our deeper connective tissues and guiding you into rest.
